Abstract

The Philippines is considered as a multilingual country. Sociolinguistic theory, which is predicated on the notion of language heterogeneity, provides an explanation for the presence of language variation. The primary goal of the research is to investigate the phonological and morphological differences between the Filipino and Ibanag languages spoken in Dodan, Aparri, Cagayan. In this study, the researcher interviewed fifty inhabitants of Dodan, Aparri, Cagayan, using a qualitative research methodology. From the time of data collection to analysis, descriptive was used.
